Also known as the "Festival of Ascending Heights", Chung Yeung is similar to Ching Ming (which takes place earlier in the year) in that they both pay tribute to dead family members and loved ones. It's traditional to visit and clean the family graveside and then ascend a hill, thus getting closer to god, to offer prayers for lost loved ones. The day is a national holiday
