The Feast of Maidens has huge significance for unmarried women as it is believed that on this day they can find love. According to the legend, it is only on this day - the seventh day of the seventh moon - that the mythical Heavenly Weaver is able to meet with his one true love, the Cowherd. In modern times, the festival is often referred to as the "Lovers' Festival"
