The Harbourfront Reading Series welcomes a great range of writers and authors from all over the world to the Harbourfront Centre on Toronto's waterfront. Authors read from their own books, poetry is recited and topics of global importance are discussed in this innovative venue. Since they began in 1974, the weekly Reading Series has hosted thousands of authors from all over the world. The International Festival of Authors (see separate entry) merges with this event in October.
