Venues across the city bring Celtic heritage and tradition to life in an extravaganza of music, dance, storytelling and crafts. Past performers have included acts such as Quagmyre, Fiddlers 3, Shaggy Haggis, Strange Potatoes and musicians from all parts of Ontario. A highlight of the festival is a Massed Pipe Band Parade with about 200 pipers. The free Saturday Street Festival is the centrepiece of the Celtic weekend, featuring music and dance workshops on four stages. In addition, there are street performers and buskers, craft artists, food vendors, children's activity area, jam sessions, a beer garden and tea tent
