8/01/2008 - 8/31/2008Canada's National Ukrainian Festival
Dauphin,
Canada
Canada's National Ukrainian Festival is a three-day celebration of the rich and vibrant culture and heritage of Ukraine. Among the numerous cultural displays, demonstrations and workshops are a heritage village and memorial park, traditional ovens and ritual bread displays and a folk and visual arts pavilion. The thundering hooves of Cossack riders, the crash of cannon fire and the rousing songs of Ukrainian choirs fill the air. Amateur talent competitions, dancers in traditional costume, scrumptious food and no fewer than four grandstand extravaganzas keep the crowd fully satisfied throughout
