Although initially held to celebrate the region's agricultural heritage, the event grows each year and has now become a great community celebration that goes way beyond just celebrating carrots. It's a fun-packed day for all the family with a wide and varied programme of events that includes a large market, break dancing demos, wrestling tournaments, fire department demonstrations, beer tents, recipe contests, melon eating contests, karaoke, a poker tournament, spaghetti eating contests and live music. This event promises to be a great day out for young and old alike
