First held in 1969 at the University of Saskatchewan campus, the Regina Folk Festival has grown in stature and moved to the more prestigious setting of the beautiful, historic Victoria Park in the heart of the city. The festival promotes a wide variety of musical styles including country, bluegrass, operatic rock, world, spoken word, singer songwriter, roots and blues, Celtic, funk, reggae and jazz. During the day, there is no charge for the many concerts and workshops that take place, or for the arts market, children's area, food court or Big Rock Garden. Main stage acts through the evening, featuring a star line-up of professional artists and acts, are ticket admission only
