Since 1964 the Los Angeles County Arts Commission has produced a Holiday Celebration in the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion of the Music Center on 24 December. The programme honours the spirit of many cultures and holiday traditions through music, song and dance. Community and professional choirs, music ensembles, folk and traditional artists and dance companies perform, and the show is broadcast live throughout Southern and Central California.
