Every year thousands of revellers flock towards San Diego's vibrant Gaslamp Quarter for its sensational Mardi Gras parade. Held on Shrove Tuesday, the event is one big outdoor party that includes live music, dancing, entertainers and street upon street selling delicious food and drinks. One of the highlights of the event is the parade which sees dancers, floats and bands make their way through the streets to the delight of an exuberant crowd. Bead necklaces are a big feature at the event with beads handed out to dancers and members of the crowd. This is one of the Gaslamp Quarter's biggest parties of the year that always attracts large crowds and guarantees an electric atmosphere
