This Latin American Festival of Cinema and Video takes place in Rio de Janeiro with a parallel event running in the capital, Brasilia. The competitive element of Cinesul includes entries in the categories of film, video and Latin American documentary. A large selection of films and videos is screened including new work, homages and retrospectives, employing a variety of venues in the city. Debates, seminars and workshops form a key part of the festival.
