Fantasy, science fiction and thriller movies are the subject of BIFF. The big international event attracts audiences of over 60,000 to venues across Brussels. Each year the programme includes about 100 full, feature length films, including many world premieres. There is also a popular short film section which includes many animations and shorts. The event has become so popular that it has spread its programme into the nearby cities of Liege, Mons and Charleroi.
