Antwerp, by tradition, puts on a big show for most of December, the focus of which is an outdoor ice rink set up on the old market square, in the old town centre. A Christmas Village market is the most popular attraction, though, with many illuminated stalls selling craftware, gifts, and plenty to eat and drink. There are nativity scenes on display in many churches, and the seasonal good cheer is further boosted with numerous Christmas concerts
