Formed at the end of the 19th century by a retired seaman, Moses Wood, the Barbados Landship is a dance troupe that has been performing at the island's biggest events for many years. Commanded by the Admiral and accompanied by a Tuk band, dancers simulate the movement of a ship and also perform navy military drills and movements. One of their most high-profile appearances it at the island's popular Crop Over festival in July or August.
