1/01/2010 - 12/31/2010Old Melbourne Gaol
Melbourne,
Australia
Visitors to the Old Melbourne Gaol can learn more about the institution and some of its inmates through a series of exhibitions and guided tours. Amongst the more famous inmates was the notorious bushranger Ned Kelly who was hanged here in 1880 and visitors can learn about the man, his life and his gang at a special exhibition. For something a little different, try the candlelight nighttime tour of the Old Gaol to really get a sense of the prison's oppressive feel.
