Held on the last Friday and Saturday in August, this historical festival goes back in time to explore medieval Europe through a series of talks, exhibitions and dramatic re-enactions. The entire town enters into the spirit of the event as the town center is turned into a large medieval market. As well as the handicrafts and traditional wares on sale, there is a program of activities and entertainment for all the family with traditional displays and events including falconry, jousting and a medieval wedding ceremony. Meanwhile, jesters, jugglers, musicians and theater performers â all dressed in traditional clothing of the day â mill among the assembled crowds.
