This boutique hotel, with 94 rooms and suites, occupies an elegantly refurbished warehouse in the old port area. In 2001, an archaeological dig preceded the construction of a new wing, and the hotel lobby now displays the 17th-century cannon battery that was unearthed. The rooms are sleek and modern, while various suites play on historical themes (the Victorian era" or "nineteenth-century British merchants"). The Panache restaurant offers exceptional French-Canadian cuisine in a loftlike space with a fireplace; the Café Artefact features lighter fare. "
