Via Toledo is the main shopping street in Naples. Particularly the pedestrianized part of it offers a busy shopping environment. Many high-street fashion brands are available here. You can find more exclusive shops along Via Chaia and also in parts of Vomero. Spaccanapoli and the surrounding areas have a vast number of shops that cover a wide range of goods, often at very reasonable prices.
There are several
markets in Naples, and the Mercato di Porta Nolana to the south of Piazza Garibaldi is worth checking out for its vibrant atmosphere and great selection of seafood.
Rinascente, via Toledo 343, and
Vomero’s Coin, via Scarlatti, are the city’s best department stores.
Shops are open Monday to Saturday from around 0900-1300 and then from 1600-2000. Most of them close between 1300 and 1600. Supermarkets and department stores tend to stay open all day, and are also open on Sundays.
