Nightlife:

Bruges makes no attempt to be a wild nightspot (for big clubs and the bright lights it is better to make the short trip to Ostend). Most of the ’action’ takes place in the streets in and around the old center of the city - around every corner there is an inviting bar tempting you to indulge in the excellent Belgian beers.

Bars: Try ’t Brugs Beertje, Kemelstraat 5, for its excellent beer selection; The Crash, Langestraat 78, for rock music fans; or Grand Café du Théâtre, Kuipersstraat 14, for a lively evening in elegant surroundings.

Party Bars/Clubs: Café de Vuurmolen, Kraanplein 5, is a lively spot for dancing the night away. Thema Café Underwhere? is a popular club at Kraanplein 6, while Bras Beers and Liquors Pub, ’t Zand 10, is another good option for the party animal.

Live Music: Cactus Muziekcentrum, Magdalenastraat 27, St Andries puts on a broad-ranging selection of concerts. Celtic Ireland, Burg 8, offers nightly live music with an Irish flavor.
