When in Paris, faire la fête (party) Parisian-style with the coutured elite in ever-trendy venues. Fashionable areas for nightlife include Bastille, Marais and Champs-Elysées, to mention just a few. While discos are few and far between in Paris, there is no lack of elegant, classy entertainment options. Just walking around the city at night is a beautiful experience in itself.Bastille offers cafés, nightclubs, bars and music venues, as well as Salsa or Marenge dancing; Sans Sanz club has bordello-style décor and La Balajo is known for its salsa nights. Another
good stop is the Ritz's Hemingway Bar, which was frequented by the writer in the 40s. Marais is the locale of Amnesia, a vibrant gay bar, and Politburo, a rock and punk bar. Johnny Depp is part-owner of the Man Ray club in Champs-Elysées, and in Pigalle the Moulin Rouge cancan show comes with a champagne dinner. Visit Le Batofar, a remodeled lighthouse tugboat turned nightclub, or the China Club 50 cigar and rum bar. Harry's New York Bar is a lovely piano bar, and Opera Garnier is the home of the Ballet de l'Opera National de Paris.
