Westonbirt Arboretum

Westonbirt - The National Arboretum in Gloucestershire contains some of the country’s oldest and rarest shrubs and is famous for its plants, trees and incredible landscaped gardens. Managed by the Forestry Commission, the collection contains over 18,000 specimens across 243 hectares (600 acres) of Grade 1 Listed Landscape. In 2001, Westonbirt was coupled with Bedgebury in Kent to form the National Arboreta. Visitors are able to enjoy guided walks or they can explore the grounds on their own along marked paths such as the new Native Tree Time Trail. Westonbirt also hosts open-air music events throughout the year.
