Located on the island’s rocky west coast, Fort Grey Shipwreck Museum was built in 1804 as part of the island’s defences against French attacks. It was restored in 1976 and turned into a popular visitor attraction. Overlooking the Hanois Reefs, many ships have sunk off its shores and a small museum housed within the small Martello Tower tells the maritime history of the region. The museum is closed during the winter months.
