The Isle of Man is packed full of festivals and shows year-round, many of which celebrate the diverse culture and heritage. There are also super-bike rallies, food fests, arts programs, and a host of top-notch sporting events that draw visitors to the island year after year.

The Queenie Festival

This festival takes place between June 29th and July 1st and celebrates the Isle of Man’s diverse coastline, marine heritage and in particular the Queen Scallop or “Queenie” as it is more commonly known.

The Manx Litfest

A celebration of literature, the Isle of Man’s writers are the highlight from September 27th to 30th where there are talks, family events, seminars, workshops, readings, storytelling sessions, and Q&A panels.

Walking Festival

The Isle of Man’s annual Walking Festival takes place from May 13th to 18th and offers five days of walks across the Island which are graded individually to different ability levels.

Manx Grand Prix

The Manx Grand Prix started as the Amateur TT in 1923 as a way for novice riders and private car drivers to ride on the world famous TT Mountain Course. Today, the event takes place between August 18th and 31st for different classes of motorcycles and skill levels to compete for prizes.

Isle of Man Food & Drink Festival

Held on September 22nd and 23rd , the Isle of Man’s food festival offers visitors the chance to sample the very best local produce and take part in live cooking demonstrations.

Yn Chruinnaght

Yn Chruinnaght, which literally means “the gathering,” is a celebration of Manx culture. From July 14th to 21st, it highlights Celtic music, dance, language, and arts from all over the British Isles and beyond, attracting bands and artists from Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Wales, and Brittany.
