There are four international airports serving the Federated States of Micronesia, and each boasts good connections to and from the island states of Hawaii and Guam. United Airlines has flights to all destinations, including inter-island flights within the federation.

Chuuk International Airport

Chuuk Airport has commercial flights to Guam, Honolulu (three times a week) and Pohnpei (once a week) via United Airlines (formerly called Continental Micronesia). Airport services are rather limited, but has basic travel facilities. All the airports are well connected to their main towns and renting a car is possible for hassle-free transfers.

Kosrae International Airport

United Airlines offers flights to Guam and Honolulu, plus connections to the islands of Majuro, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kwajelein. Interestingly, this Micronesia hub is on an artificial island about 150 meters from the Kosrae coast, and is connected by a causeway to the main island.

Yap International Airport

Yap International Airport is the least served air hub, with limited flights to Guam and Koror.

Pohnpei International Airport

United Airlines provides commercial "island hopper" services in Pohnpei. It flies to and from Honolulu and Guam three times a week. There is also a Guam-Chuuk-Pohnpei route once a week. This airport is currently being expanded to cater to the growing number of tourists in the area and the government plans to improve the current terminal facilities.
