Location
The airport is situated 12km (7 miles) north of Pendik on the Asian side and 45km (28 miles) east of the European center of Istanbul.

Transfer Between Terminals
The terminals are situated within walking distance of each other.

Driving Directions
From Istanbul city center, take the E-6 express highway or the E-5 highway; follow signs for the airport and take the Pendik/Kurtköy exit.

Car Parking
Car parks for both short- and long-term parking are located in front of, and within walking distance of, the terminals. Short-term parking is also available next to the main terminal building.

Car Hire
Avis, Decar, Hertz and WRC are are represented at the airport; car hire counters are located in the Arrivals areas of the International and Domestic Terminals, just after the baggage reclaim area.

Public Transport
Road
Bus:
There is a regular shuttle bus service (tel: (0212) 245 0720; website: www.iett.gov.tr) between the airport and the city center (journey time - 30-45 minutes); services also connect Sabiha Gökçen International Airport and Atatürk International Airport (journey time - 60-70 minutes).
Taxi: Taxis are available 24 hours a day to destinations in and around Istanbul. Istanbul Airport Service (tel: (0212) 458 2209; website: www.istanbulairportservice.com) offers fixed price city and hotel transfers.
Water
The IDO Sea Bus Port (tel: (0212) 444 4436; website: www.ido.com.tr) is situated 8km (5 miles) away; this provides connections to the different districts of Istanbul, as well as to neighboring towns and cities.

Information and Help Desks
There are two information desks in all the International Terminal and one in the Domestic Terminal. Staff can provide information on hotels and tourist attractions in Istanbul; they can also assist disabled passengers and those traveling with young children.

Airport Facilities
Money and communications: There are ATMs located in both terminals. A bank is located in the Arrivals area in the International Terminal; and in the Arrivals area, there is a post office. Public telephones are available in both terminals.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, bars and cafés in the Departures and mezzanine areas of the international terminal, and a café in the departures lounge of the domestic terminal.
Shopping: There are duty-free shops available in the sectioned halls in the International Terminal. There is also a mini market, and a specialist shop offering electronic equipment.
Luggage: Trolleys are available free of charge.
Other facilities: There is a baby-care room in the Departures lounge on the International Terminal.

Conference and Business Facilities
A business center is available in the CIP Lounge, which is located in Departures in the International Terminal. Passengers wishing to use the business service have access to two lounges, computers, telephones, fax machines and Internet services.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers
All facilities in the Arrivals hall are located on one level, meaning that disabled passengers can move easily around the Arrivals area. Disabled toilets are available in both terminals and there are lifts to the restaurants on the mezzanine level of the International Terminal. Passengers requiring assistance with boarding aircraft are advised to contact their airline in advance. Wheelchairs are available at the Domestic Terminal, free of charge; passengers should make advance arrangements with their airline. Disabled parking is available free of charge.

Hotels
There are no hotels in the vicinity of the airport, the nearest being some distance away in Istanbul city or on the coast.
