The airport is situated 13km (8 miles) north of San Antonio.

Transfer Between Terminals
Passengers can transfer between terminals via a covered walkway.

Driving Directions
The airport can be reached from the major motorways into and around San Antonio. The airport is located between two motorway loops: from loop 410, take the Airport Boulevard exit. From Hwy-281 North, take the Airport Boulevard exit or the Jones-Maltsberger, South Terminal Drive exit, and then take the first right onto South Terminal Drive. From Hwy-281 South, after the San Antonio International Airport exit, turn left onto South Terminal Drive. Drivers can now also access the airport via a connector road off Hwy-281 North. Located just after Airport Boulevard, the Hwy-281 North connector provides direct, elevated access into the parking and terminal facilities.

Car Parking
There are two covered parking garages (tel: (210) 207 3465) for hourly and long-term parking and an economy car park connected to the terminals by a free shuttle service.

Car Hire
There are several on-site car hire companies, including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty. Agency desks are located inside the terminals and shuttle services transport travelers to pick-up and drop-off centers.

Public Transport
Road
Shuttle:
 Shared-ride shuttles are available from Satrans (tel: (210) 281 9900; website: www.saairportshuttle.com), which provides a regular service to downtown San Antonio hotels. 
Bus: The VIA (tel: (210) 362 2020; website: www.viainfo.net) city bus 2, which takes a one-hour scenic route, is available between the city and the airport.
Taxi: Taxis run between central San Antonio and the airport (journey time - 15 minutes).

Information and Help Desks
The information and help desks are located in the Terminal 1 baggage reclaim area and in Terminal 2 where travelers turn towards the baggage reclaim area. Ambassadors can also provide assistance. For airport information, passengers should contact International Airport Paging and Information (tel: (210) 207 3411).

Airport Facilities
Money and communications: Telephones and ATMs can be found throughout the airport. Wi-Fi Internet access is also available. Telephones situated opposite the baggage reclaim area in both terminals can be used to find hotel information and to contact car hire companies.
Eating and drinking: There is a variety of restaurants, fast-food, cafes and bakeries in both terminals.
Shopping: There are several shops at the airport, including duty-free.
Luggage: There are lost property offices (tel: (210) 207 3451) and a Skycap porter service.
Other facilities: There is a games room, shoeshine and an airport chapel in Terminal 2. Emergency medical assistance is available 24 hours a day.

Conference and Business Facilities
The Never 2 Late Business & Travel Center (tel: (210) 892 1100) offers business facilities and meeting/conference rooms. It is located in Terminal 1, before security. The nearby Hilton San Antonio Airport (tel: (210) 340 6060; website: www.hilton.com) also offers conference facilities, including a business center and meeting rooms with audiovisual equipment for hire and secretarial services.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers
There are three lifts in Terminal 1 and one lift in Terminal 2. All toilets are accessible, Terminal 2 is equipped with ramps and Skycap porters can provide a wheelchair service to help disabled passengers disembark aircraft. Telephones for the hearing impaired are provided. There are designated parking spaces for disabled drivers. Satrans shuttles are wheelchair-accessible.
