The airport is located 12km (8 miles) southwest of Barcelona.

Airport News
A fourth terminal is under construction and scheduled to come into service in 2009.

Transfer Between Terminals
A pedestrian walkway connects the three terminals.

Driving Directions
From Barcelona city center, take the Barcelona ring road, with the airport exit via the Pata Sur. The airport access road is the Barcelona-Castelldefels C-31 motorway, which connects with the Barcelona-Sitges C-32 motorway.

Car Parking
There are public car parks at the airport with space for around 13,000 cars. Car parks are located directly in front of each terminal. Terminal A and C are directly connected to the car parks via air-bridges. VIP parking in a secure car park, with collection outside each of the terminals, is also available (tel: (932) 971 381).

Car Hire
Avis, Europcar, Hertz, National Atesa and Sol Mar are all represented at the airport, with offices located on the ground floor of Terminals B and C.

Public Transport
Rail: RENFE's line 10 suburban train links the airport with the city center Estació de Franςa (tel: (902) 240 202; website: www.renfe.es/cercanias/barcelona) and intermediate stops (journey time - 32 minutes).
Road:
Bus: There is an Aerobus service to Plaça de Catalunya, departing from in front of all terminals. Bus 105 departs from Terminals B and C, to El Prat; buses 106 and 46 also depart from Terminals B and C. Bus information is available (tel: 010 (in Spain); website: www.emt-amb.com)
Taxi: Taxi ranks are located outside the terminals (journey time - 25 minutes).

Information and Help Desks
Tourist information desks (tel: (934) 784 704 or 780 565) are located in Terminals A and B; there is also a hotel information point in Terminal B. Airport information desks can be found throughout the airport (tel: (902) 404 704), at six locations in Terminals A and B.

Airport Facilities
Money and communications: Banks, bureaux de change and ATMs can be found in Terminals A and B. There is also a post office on the ground floor of Terminal B.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, cafeterias and bars in all terminals. Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available in Terminals A and B; there are also a range of other shops in these two terminals. These include a jewellers, bookshop, tobacconists, newsagents, music shop and shoe shop.
Luggage:
A left-luggage office is situated in the Terminal B Arrivals area. A lost and found office is situated in the Bloque Técnico building (tel: (902) 101 564).
Other facilities:
There is a pharmacy, a 24-hour medical service, tour operators and travel agents, and children’s play areas.

Conference and Business Facilities
Terminal B has dedicated meeting rooms, the 200 sq m divisible Catalunya Meeting Room, which can be hired (tel: (932) 983 815). Facilities include telephone, fax, Internet and audiovisual equipment. Six VIP lounges are available in Departures (after security) in all three terminals.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers
The airport has lifts, escalators and ramps. Reserved parking spaces are also available for disabled travelers in the airport car park. Disabled toilets are located throughout the airport and there are also adapted-telephones at wheelchair height in each terminal.

Hotels
The new Renaissance Barcelona Airport Hotel, which opened in 2006 (tel: (933) 783 200; website: www.marriott.com), is located near the airport. So are the Hotel Ciutat del Prat (tel: (933) 788 333; website: www.ciutatdelprathotel.com), Hotel Tryp Barcelona Airport (tel: (933) 781 000; website: www.solmelia.com), the Prestige Congress (tel: (932) 671 800; website: www.prestigehotels.com) and the Best Western Hotel Alfa Airport (tel: (933) 362 564; website: www.hotelalfaaeropuerto.com). Hotels can be booked at the hotel information desk in Terminal B.
