Location The airport is located 11km (6 miles) northwest of Porto city center.
Airport News A second terminal is planned, but as yet no dates have been announced for this project.
Driving Directions The main roads to access the airport are the Porto/Lisbon highway, the IP4 linking Vila Real and Bragança, the A3 linking Porto and Braga as well as the IC 1 and IC 24.
Car Parking There are four 24-hour car parks (tel: (229) 410 787) at the airport, with a total of around 2,000 spaces. All have spaces for long and short stay parking. P0 is under cover, P1, P3 and P4 are open.
Car Hire Car hire companies, including Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National/Alamo and Sixt, all have desks in the Arrivals area.
Public Transport Rail: The metro Line E (tel: 808 205 060; website: www.metrodoporto.pt) serves the airport regularly and operates from 0600-0130. The station is located just outside the terminal. The journey to the city center takes about 30 minutes. Road: Bus: There are regular bus connections (tel: (225) 071 000; website: www.stcp.pt with the city center. A long distance bus connection (tel: +34 986 288 030; website: www.autna.com) connects the airport with Vigo, in north west Spain. Taxi: Taxis are available daily 24 hours from outside Arrivals.
Information and Help Desks The airport information desk is located in the public area and can provide information on facilities at the airport, or flight information (tel: (229) 432 400).
Airport Facilities Money and communications: There is a bank and ATMs at the airport, as well as bureaux de change, Internet access points, and a post office. Eating and drinking: There are coffee shops throughout the airport, as well as a grill house, a self-service restaurant, a bar and a delicatessen. Shopping: There are several shops at the airport, including a wine shop, fashion and electronics shops, gift shops, bookshops and duty-free. Luggage: A lost and found information desk is available (tel: (229) 482 547). Other facilities: A pharmacy and a travel agency can be found in the terminal.
Conference and Business Facilities The airport has three lounges located in the building housing the technical services: Airport Lounge 1 is located on level 0 of the departure hall and has 37 seats. Airport Lounge 2 is located on level 1 of the departure hall. The Navigator Lounge is for passengers flying with TAP-Air Portugal only. Meeting rooms are available (tel: (229) 432 400).
Facilities for Disabled Travelers Lifts and adapted toilets are available at the airport. Passengers requiring a wheelchair are advised to inform their airline of their needs at the time of booking.
Hotels There are no hotels on site, but there is a wide choice of accommodation in the city center.
