Airport News The airport has embarked on a US$105 million modernization and renovation program encompassing the whole facility, due for completion in 2012.
Transfer Between Terminals Free shuttles operate between the terminals.
Driving Directions From I-170 southbound, take exit 7B, or northbound, take exit 7C. Continue on I-70 westbound to exit 238A for the airport. Alternative exits from I-70 westbound are exits 236 and 235C. From St Charles, or from I-270 from St Louis County or Illinois, approach on I-70 eastbound and take exit 235C at Cypress Road.
Car Parking The airport authority owns and operates two terminal parking garages and five car parks that are serviced 24 hours a day by free shuttle buses. The two terminal garages offer short-term hourly parking rates, an intermediate car park connected by a tunnel to the Main Terminal offers daily parking rates and Lot D offers long-term parking. Car Hire Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty all have desks on the lower level of the Main Terminal. Rental car shuttles collect passengers from the East Terminal.
Public Transport Rail St Louis’ light rail system, Metrolink (tel: (314) 231 2345; website: www.metrostlouis.org), stops at both terminals, linking the airport with the city center. Road Bus: Local services are operated by Metrobus (tel: (314) 231 2345; website: www.metrostlouis.org). Greyhound (tel: 1-800 231 2222; website: www.greyhound.com) operates long-distance and inter-city services to and from the airport. Shared-ride shuttles also provide services to downtown St Louis hotels; call for advance booking (tel: (314) 427 3311). Taxi: Airport taxis available outside the arrivals areas of both terminals.
Information and Help Desks Information booths are located on the lower levels in both terminals. General airport information (tel: (314) 426 8000) and Travelers Aid (tel: (314) 241 5820) are available.
Airport Facilities Money and communications: A bank, bureau de change facilities, ATMs and a post office are available. Data ports telephones can be found throughout the airport. Eating and drinking: Restaurants, snack bars, fast-food outlets, bars and cafes are located in the Main Terminal. Shopping: There are various shops at the airport, but no duty-free. Luggage: Lockers and left-luggage are not available. Lambert’s police department handles lost and found items in the terminals and car parks (tel: (314) 426 8100). Other facilities: These include an interfaith chapel, massage and shoe shine.
Conference and Business Facilities Some airlines provide executive lounges. There are no conference rooms available, but there is a business center (tel: (314) 427 0511) located on the lower level of the Main Terminal. St Louis Airport Marriott (tel: (314) 423 9700; website: www.marriott.com), located opposite the airport, has a fully equipped business center, PCs, printers and Wi-Fi Internet access in the hotel lobby, as well as 20 meeting rooms and secretarial support.
Facilities for Disabled Travelers The airport has lifts and disabled toilets. Wheelchairs are available from airlines or can be requested from security personnel. All car parks are accessible to disabled travelers and every parking shuttle bus is equipped with a wheelchair lift.
