Location
The airport is located 17km (10 miles) south of Penang’s capital city Georgetown and 6km (4 miles) north of Bayan Baru

Driving Directions
Driving between the airport and Georgetown is easy. It takes 20 minutes on the Bayan Lepas Highway, and it is just a matter of following the signs.

Car Parking
Both long-term and short-term parking is available, with more than 800 parking spaces.

Car Hire
Avis, Hertz and National are among the car hire companies represented at the airport.

Public Transport
Road: Taxi: The taxi service from the airport is cheap and reliable. A voucher system with fixed prices for specific destinations is used. Passengers need to buy a voucher at the taxi counter in the terminal building and then present the voucher at the taxi rank outside where they will be allotted a taxi. Bus: There are bus services from the airport to Georgetown. They are quite frequent, and the journey takes around 45 minutes.

Information and Help Desks
An information desk is located in the public area on the ground floor.

Airport Facilities
Money and communications: A bank, ATMs and a foreign exchange service are available. Postal services are offered in one of the shops in the terminal building. Eating and drinking: Restaurants and bars as well as cafes selling hot drinks, sandwiches and snacks are available in the terminal building. Shopping: There are duty-free shops, a gift shop, a pharmacy and several newsagents in the terminal building.  Luggage: For lost luggage items, contact the information desk on the ground floor. There are no luggage lockers at the airport. Other facilities: A first aid service is available in the terminal building.

Conference and Business Facilities
A VIP lounge and a business center with fax machine, printer and telephones are located in the terminal building.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers
Accessibility is good at the airport. There are toilets for wheelchair users, lifts up to the departure area on the first floor and parking spaces reserved for disabled people in the car parks.

Hotels
There are no hotels at the airport. Hotel Equatorial Penang (tel: (04) 643 8111) is 15 minutes away.
