Location The airport is located 23km (14 miles) northeast of Paris.
Airport News A new departure hall, the Galerie Parisienne, opened in June 2007. It is the largest departure hall in France and has been specially adapted to handle big aircrafts such as the A380. It can handle 8.5 million passengers a year and has 22 gates. Terminal 2G, a Schengen terminal with no customs control, opened in September 2008. Another new terminal, S3, is now fully operational.
Transfer Between Terminals Terminals 1, 2 and 3 are linked by the new CDGVAL airport metro line.
Driving Directions From Paris, take the A1 via Porte de la Chapelle. Alternatively, take the A3 via Porte de Bagnolet, join the A1 and follow signposts for the airport.
Car Parking Each terminal has its own covered car park with direct access to the terminal by lift. The long-term car park PR is for Terminal 1, and car park PX is for Terminals 2 and 3; all are linked by a free airport shuttle bus.
Car Hire Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt are all represented.
Public Transport Rail RER trains serve the airport in conjunction with ADP shuttles. Line B runs from Terminal 1 and from the TGV station at Terminal 2 to Gare du Nord, Châtelet-les-Halles, St Michel, Luxembourg, Port Royal and Denfert-Rochereau, with connections for the métro. TGV and Thalys trains also run to various destinations in Paris and beyond. There is an SNCF desk on the fourth floor of Terminal 2 for public transport enquiries. Road Bus: The Airport Connection (tel: (01) 4365 5555; website: www.airport-connection.com) shuttle is a door-to-door minibus service to the city center (journey time - 75 minutes). Places must be reserved in advance. Roissybus serves all three terminals and runs to Place de l’Opéra for the Paris métro (journey time - 45-60 minutes). The Noctilien night service has three routes linking the airport with various destinations in Paris between 0030 and 0530. Coach: Air France coaches (website: www.cars-airfrance.com) depart from terminals 1 and 2 to Porte Maillot and Arc de Triomphe to Montparnasse and Gare de Lyon. They also provide connections to Paris Orly Airport, from terminals 1 and 2. Taxi: A taxi to the city center will take around 45 minutes. Taxi companies include Alpha Taxis (tel: (01) 4585 8585), Les Taxis Bleus (tel: 0891 701 010) and Taxis G7 (tel: (01) 4739 4739).
Information and Help Desks There are several information desks throughout the airport. Free guides and maps of Paris and the airport are available on request.
Airport Facilities Money and communications: There are bureaux de change and at least one bank branch and ATM in all three terminals. Post offices can be found in terminals 1 and 2. Wireless Internet access is available, as is mobile phone rental. Eating and drinking: There are plenty of bars and restaurants in all terminals. Shopping: There is a wide choice of shops in all three terminals. Luggage: Lockers are no longer available due to security concerns. There are lost and found offices in all the terminals. Call (01) 4862 1334 (for terminals 1 and 3) or (01) 4816 6383 (Terminal 2). Other facilities: Prayer rooms are located in all three terminals. Medical services as well as massage therapy and manicure are available in terminals 1 and 2. Play areas can be found in Terminal 2.
Conference and Business Facilities There are work zones in terminals 1 and 2 where travelers can work and recharge their electronic equipment.
Facilities for Disabled Travelers The airport has excellent facilities for disabled travelers, who should inform their airline in advance of their special needs. Information desks also offer a special welcome service for disabled passengers. Reserved car parking spaces in designated areas and discount on parking is available on presentation of a valid disability badge.
Hotels The Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel & Conference Center (tel: (01) 4919 7070; website: www.starwoodhotels.com) is located inside Terminal 2. Hotels at the airport are connected with the terminals by free shuttle buses and include Kyriad Prestige (tel: (01) 3429 0000), Ibis Paris Charles de Gaulle Aéroport (tel: (01) 4919 1919; website: www.ibishotel.com), Sofitel Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport Roissy (tel: (01) 4919 2929; website: www.sofitel.com) and Hilton Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport (tel: (01) 4919 7777; website: www.hilton.com).
