Location
The airport is located 14.5km (9 miles) from Road Town, Tortola.

Airport News
There are no direct flights from the USA, Canada, Europe or South America to the airport. All flights must connect through another Caribbean airport such as San Juan, St Thomas, Antigua, St Kitts or St Maarten/St Martin. Tortola’s Beef Island airport will not accommodate major jets, only 70-80 seat turboprops and small jets. Note: the airport is also known as Terrence B Lettsome Airport.

Driving Directions
The airport is located on Beef Island, a cay that is linked to Tortola by the Queen Elizabeth II Bridge.

Car Parking
Car parking is available directly outside the terminal.

Car Hire
Car hire is not available at the airport. International car rental companies can be found in Road Town: Avis (tel: 494 2193) across from police station, Budget at Wickham’s Cay (tel: 494 2639) and Hertz, next to the Jolly Roger. Local companies include International Car Rentals (tel: 494 2516) and D&D Car Rentals (tel: 495 7676).

Public Transport
Road: Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport. The fare is about US$15 to Road Town, US$30 to Cane Garden Bay and US$35 to the West End. Hotels often provide courtesy shuttles to and from the airport.
Water: The North Sound Express (tel: 495 2271) connects the airport (at nearby Trellis Bay dock) to Virgin Gorda (book at least four hours ahead). There is also a free ferry to Marina Cay.

There are no information desks at the airport. For information on the BVI contact the local tourist office (tel: 494 3134; website: www.bvitourism.com).
