The airport is located 5km (3 miles) southwest of Thiruvananthapuram (formerly Trivandrum), the capital of Kerala.

Airport News

Work has started on a completely new third terminal. This terminal will be devoted exclusively to international flights.

Bus: There is a city bus service running quite frequently between the airport and the city bus terminal at East Fort, near the Padmanabha Swamy temple. Taxi: Taxis and autorickshaws are available outside the terminals. Pre-paid taxis are also available, to be booked at a counter in the arrivals areas of the terminal buildings.
