Atlantic City International Airport is situated approximately 16 km (10 miles) to the northwest of Atlantic City in New Jersey.

Airport News

An eighteen-month upgrading process commenced in January 2011, which includes an expansion of the terminal building. Planned improvements include the addition of more gates, an improvement in baggage carousel facilities and an increase in the amount of retail space.

Driving Directions

Atlantic City International Airport is positioned off Amelia Earhart Boulevard. Visitors can access the airport from the Atlantic City Expressway, exit 9.

Car Hire

Avis, Budget, Hertz and Enterprise are represented. Desks are located inside the terminal next to the baggage claim area. Car zones are located adjacent to the rental offices and next to curbside check-in.

Public Transport

Bus: Passengers wishing to travel to Atlantic City and destinations throughout the region can use the SJTA TransIT Link (tel: 1-973 275 5555; www.njtransit.com) shuttle to travel between Atlantic City International Airport and the Pleasantville Bus Terminal.

Taxi: Taxis are available from the airport to Atlantic City and surrounding areas (journey time: 20-30 minutes). A courtesy telephone assistance line is available at the taxi service desk close to baggage reclaim.

Shuttle: Tropiano Transportation (tel: 1 800 559 2040) provides door-to-door service throughout the region in passenger vans with 10 or 12 seats. Vans are accessible for disabled people. It is recommended that individuals make arrangements prior to pick-up.

Car Parking

Atlantic City International Airport has short- and long-term parking options (tel: (609) 645 7895, ext. 2034). Short-term charges are by the hour while long-term rates are per 24 hours. Visitors can walk to the terminal or use the free shuttle that makes continuous trips to and from the parking lot. The overall capacity for the main parking lot is about 1,400 spaces. In addition, there is an overflow facility that can provide another 100 spaces when needed. Shuttles run from 0400 daily from the economy parking area to the terminal.

Information and Help Desks

The customer service information desk is located in the lower level, near the main entrance of the terminal. It is open seven days a week from 0500-1800 (tel: (649) 645 7895; extension numbers 2002 or 2025).

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATM service is available on the lower level near the gift shop. Pay phones are available on both levels of the terminal. Wi-Fi Internet access is available on the second floor.
Eating and drinking: Food and drink outlets can be found throughout the airport and include a restaurant, bar, grill and sandwich shop.
Shopping: Duty-free shopping includes a gift retail shop on the lower level and a specialty retail shop on the second floor. There is also a kiosk that sells accessory items on the second floor.
Luggage: The baggage claim facility is located in the main terminal near the car hire booths. A porter service is also available. Porters are self-employed and rely on tips for their income.
Other facilities: Baby changing facilities can be found in all ladies' toilets. Lost property can be reclaimed through contact with the customer service information desk.

Conference and Business Facilities

There are two locations for meeting rooms, in the main terminal and in the airport administration offices. There is a small conference room that can accommodate 8-10 people and two large conference rooms with space for 20-30 people. Catering is available for meetings or conferences in these areas. The nearby Hilton Atlantic City Resort (tel: (609) 347 7111; www.hiltonac.com) offers meeting facilities for up to 1,600 delegates.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers

Atlantic City International Airport is fully accessible for disabled travelers, with lifts, ramps and bathroom facilities. Wheelchairs can be supplied if required. Passengers are advised to inform their airline of any special needs in advance. The parking facilities have designated spaces for disabled travelers. For hearing impaired people, the airport uses an Intercom Messaging System for PDA announcements. Signage for office and bathroom facilities includes Braille script for people who are visually impaired.
