The airport is located 25km (16 miles) west of Montréal.

Airport News

A new direct rail link connecting the airport with downtown Montréal is planned to open for service in 2013-15. In 2009, a major program of enhancements to the terminal building was completed, incorporating a 270-room hotel.

Driving Directions

The airport is situated off the east-west Highway-20, but can also be reached from Montréal directly along the Côte-de-Liesse Highway-520.

Car Hire

Car hire is available on-site from Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Thrifty, with offices situated on the ground level of the multi-story car park outside Arrivals.

Public Transport

Bus: Société de Transport de Montréal (tel: (514) 288 6287; www.stm.info) offers a new express bus service between the airport and downtown. Bus 747 operates 24 hours a day, daily. The journey time is around 35 minutes during off-peak periods. Tickets can be purchased at the ICE currency exchange counter in international arrivals. In addition, STM bus 204 (Cardinal Avenue) operates between the airport and the Dorval transport terminus.

Taxi: Taxis and limousines (tel: (514) 394 7377) are readily available outside the terminal on the Arrivals level, with a set fare (C$38) to the city center. Shuttle services are also available, including to destinations further afield.
Rail: A free minibus service links the airport with Dorval station 2km (1.2 miles) away, from where VIA Rail (tel: (514) 989 2626; www.viarail.ca) operates services along the Ottawa-Montréal, Québec City-Montréal and Toronto-Montréal routes.

Car Parking

There are short- and long-term parking facilities, including the Econoparc facility, at the airport. A free shuttle bus service operates from the long-term and Econoparc facilities to the airport, departing every 15 minutes. Beneath the new Marriott Hotel, Hotelpark offers 250 heated spaces. Valet parking (tel: (514) 633 3440) is also available immediately outside the terminal building.

Information and Help Desks

Information desks are located on both the Arrivals and Departures level. Courtesy telephones are situated throughout the airport.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: ATMs and bureau de change are available throughout the terminal, as are public phones. There is also a post office. Wireless Internet access is available throughout the terminal and also through several Internet stations.
Eating and drinking:
Bars, restaurants and cafés are available in the Departures and Arrivals levels and in the jetties.
Shopping:
Duty-free and various other shops are available on the Departures level and in the jetties.
Luggage:
The cloak room (tel: (514) 633 2076) and the lost and found office (tel: (514) 636 1217) are located on the Arrivals level. If an item has been lost on a plane, the airline in question should be contacted. Luggage trolleys are available free of charge.
Other facilities: A prayer room as well as a shoeshine service can be found on the Departures level. A breastfeeding room is located on the second floor of the public area. There are children’s games available in the waiting room located on the second floor.The airport patrol staff is trained in First Aid and can be reached by pressing the emergency button that can be found on all public phones in the terminal.

Conference and Business Facilities

There are no conference facilities within the airport terminal, although there are VIP lounges that are equipped with fax machines and computer terminals. A photocopy service is offered at the main foreign exchange office located on the Departures level. Extensive meeting and events facilities are available at the new Marriott Montréal Airport (tel: (514) 636 6700; www.marriott.com) attached to the US Departures section of the terminal, and at a number of other nearby hotels.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers

Parking for disabled travelers is provided in the short-term parking lots. Disabled drivers who need long-term parking will be able to park their car in the Proxiparc multi-level parking house at economy rates (although the full price must be paid upon exiting, whereupon the driver will then be reimbursed the difference). Lifts connect all levels of the airport and text telephones are available throughout the terminal. Wheelchairs are available; passengers should contact their airline in advance.
