The airport is situated 5km (3 miles) south of Larnaca.

Airport News

A new terminal building opened in November 2009, which can serve 7.5 million passengers a year. By 2013, further extensions to the terminal will mean it can cater for 9 million passengers a year.

Driving Directions

The airport is accessible from Larnaca and Ayia Napa by the A3 motorway.

Car Hire

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National, Sixt and Thrifty are all represented at the airport, with offices in Arrivals.

Public Transport

Taxi: Transport from the airport to Larnaca city and the beachfront hotels is mainly by private taxi, available 24 hours a day (journey time - 15 minutes); a board displaying fares can be found in Arrivals. 7777TAXI (tel: (357) 77778294; ); Cyprus Airport Transfers (tel: (026) 323 422; ) and Acropolis Transport (tel: (024) 622 000; ) can arrange taxi and minibus transport from the airport. Coach: Transfer coaches are available for passengers on chartered flights.

Car Parking

Parking, with spaces for up to 500 cars, is located in front of the terminal. It's charged by the hour; there is no long-term parking (however, parking is inexpensive).

A tourist information office is located in Departures, as well as various airline information desks, which are located on the public concourse.

Money and communications: There are three banks located on the public concourse and in Arrivals; a post office is located on the public concourse (closed Sunday and public holidays).
Eating and drinking: There is a cafe in the public concourse and a bar and restaurant in Departures.
Shopping: Shops at the airport include a gift shop, a bookshop and a newsagent. Duty-free is also available.
Luggage: Lost property is located in Arrivals.
Other facilities: These include a first aid room, a VIP lounge and a parents' and baby room.
