The airport is situated 11km (7 miles) northwest of Aberdeen.

Airport News

A new ‘park and ride’ scheme is to be introduced, with parking on the western outskirts of the city. It will add around 1,000 extra spaces, and is expected to ease congestion.

Driving Directions

The airport has a dedicated access road, which is signposted from the A96 Aberdeen-Inverness road. The airport is on the A947 at Dyce.

Car Hire

Alamo, Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz and National are all represented at the airport. Desks are located within the terminal.

Public Transport

Bus: Bus services operate from the airport to Aberdeen city center. Companies operating from the airport are First Aberdeen (tel: (01224) 650 065) and Stagecoach Bluebird (tel: (01224) 212 266). The central reservation office is located opposite the main terminal building. A meet-and-greet service and executive cars are also available.

Rail: Dyce station, served by Aberdeen to Inverness train services (tel: 0871 200 2233; www.travelinescotland.com), is a short taxi ride from the terminal.

Car Parking

There are two car parks at the airport: the short-term car park is situated in front of the terminal building and the long-term car park is off Forties Road and offers a courtesy bus to the terminal. For more parking information, contact (tel: 0844 335 1000); or book via the airport website.

The airport information desk is located in the check-in area on the ground floor of the terminal building.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: There is a bureau de change also selling holiday and travel insurance. ATMs are available before and after security. Wireless Internet is available at several points.
Eating and drinking: The airport has a pub, a bar and coffee shop and several restaurants.

Other facilities: These include mother and baby rooms, a quiet area and a family entertainment area.

Conference and Business Facilities

The Speedbird Inn (tel: (01224) 772 883; www.speedbirdinn.co.uk) can hold 20 delegates in its conference room. There is a Servisair Executive Lounge (tel: (01224) 722 331) after security in the central Departures area, near Gate 1, with credit card telephone, fax and Internet facilities. Access is via a lift. There are also airline lounges situated in the Departures areas.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers

The airport has unisex disabled toilets throughout the terminal, as well as ramps and lifts. Induction loops are fitted throughout the terminal building and there is a Minicom service (tel: (01224) 725 082). Reserved seating is also provided. Disabled drivers can park in the short-term car park at long-term rates, if they display an orange/blue badge; those using this facility must inform NCP on the length of stay upon arrival to avoid incurring short-stay rates. Wheelchair push and provision, and help with baggage before check in, is available free of charge to disabled passengers. Passengers requiring assistance should contact the airline prior to travel.
