Location
The airport is situated 18km (11 miles) northwest of Leeds and 11km (7 miles) north of Bradford.
Driving Directions
From Leeds, the airport can be reached by following signs for Yeadon and Otley northbound on the A660. From Bradford, take the A658 northbound out of the city center and again follow signs for Yeadon. The airport is signposted on all major roads over a wide area, including the M1 and M62 motorways and the Yorkshire section of the A1.
Car Hire
Avis, Europcar and Hertz all have desks located close to International Arrivals.
Public Transport
Bus: The Metroconnect 757 bus service operates between the airport and Leeds city center rail and bus stations (journey time - 20-30 minutes) and Otley. Car Parking
The airport has plenty of parking spaces in both short- and long-term car parks, which are clearly signposted. A courtesy shuttle bus operates from the long-stay parking lot to the terminal building. Tourist information is available at the information desk located in Departures, next to check-in.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: Bureau de change facilities, Internet kiosks and Wi-Fi connections are available. Telephones can be found in the terminal too.
Eating and drinking: There are numerous pubs, cafes and snack bars at the airport, including two food villages.
Shopping: Shops include a duty-free shop, a bookshop, newsagents, a chemist and a travel agent.
Other facilities: These include a children’s play area, a mother and baby room, a quiet room, on-site massage and a VIP lounge.
Conference and Business Facilities
Conference facilities are available at the airport, with a 'Board Room' located on the first floor of Arrivals, catering for up to 150 delegates. There is also a Servisair Executive Lounge (tel: (0113) 239 1583), or passengers can join the Yorkshire Executive Club (tel: (0113) 391 3271), which offers use of the executive lounge.
Facilities for Disabled Travelers
There are reserved car parking spaces in the short-term car park opposite the terminal. Lifts connect all floors of the terminal building. Disabled toilets are situated on every floor throughout the terminal building. Wheelchairs, ramps, ambulift transport and extra assistance are all available on request from the individual handling agents. A hearing induction loop is also installed.
