The airport is located 10km (6 miles) north of Zürich.

Airport News

Building work on the new Dock B complex and central security check building is scheduled for completion in late-2011. Additionally, work is ongoing on 'The Circle', a new complex that will offer a wide range of new amenities and facilities.

Transfer Between Terminals

A shuttle train links the main terminal with the Gates E satellite.

Driving Directions

The airport is located at the center of Switzerland's road network with excellent connections to cities, including Zurich, Bern, Basel and St Gallen on the A20.

Car Hire

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National and Sixt are all represented at the airport, with desks in Airport Center, Level 1.

Public Transport

Bus: The bus terminal is located next to Car Park 2; several regular bus lines serve regional towns and villages (tel: 0848 988 988; www.zvv.ch). A coach network connects the airport to destinations all over Switzerland, including major ski resorts. Taxi: Taxis (tel: 0848 850 852) can be found outside Terminals 1 and 2.

Rail: The airport has a Swiss Federal Railways (tel: 0900 300 300; www.sbb.ch) station located under Terminal B, with trains to central Zurich (journey time: 10 minutes) and many city and tourist destinations across Switzerland.

Car Parking

There are three multi-story car parks directly connected to the terminal and a further car park a short distance away. The open-air P60 car park provides remote long-term parking and is linked to the airport by bus. Valet parking (tel: 043 816 5944) is available.

Information and Help Desks

The Service Center (tel: 043 816 8600) is the main point of contact for all enquiries. Information welcome desks are located in the Arrivals halls of both terminals and in the new Check-in Area 3. FASTpoint terminals, located throughout the airport, provide information on airport facilities, shopping amenities, flight and train schedules, maps and directories, as well as a range of other services.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: There are banks, which also provide bureau de change services, a post office and nine FASTpoint terminals providing telephone, fax and photocopying facilities. Wireless Internet hotspots are available at several locations throughout the terminal.
Eating and drinking:
Restaurants, coffee shops, snack bars and take-away facilities are available.
Shopping:
Shops, including duty-free, are also available. There is an Airport Shopping Center, one level above check-in area 3.
Luggage:
There is a lost property office which deals with Swiss enquiries. A porter service is available (tel: (043) 816 6707). Trolleys are available free of charge. There is a left-luggage desk in Arrivals; lockers are available too.
Other facilities: The airport has a medical and dental center, pharmacies, prayer rooms and nurseries. Bicycle and baby buggy rental is available.

Conference and Business Facilities

Fax, and photocopy facilities are available in the service center in Car Park 2, on the first floor. There are no conference facilities at the airport. Several local hotels, including the on-airport Radisson Blu Hotel (tel: 044 800 4455; www.radissonblu.com) offer conference and meetings rooms.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers

Facilities include accessible toilets and telephone booths, ramps and lifts. Disabled parking spaces are available in Car Park 2. There are special assistance desks in the Departures halls for travelers with special needs; passengers using this service should report no later than 90 minutes before departures. Passengers requiring wheelchairs and special assistance should inform their airline prior to travel. Porters can be hired to assist disabled travelers between the airport and the railway station.
