The airport is located 12km (8 miles) southwest of Barcelona city center.

Transfer Between Terminals

A pedestrian walkway connects the three terminals.

Driving Directions

From Barcelona city center, take the Barcelona ring road, with the airport exit via Pata Sur. The airport access road is the Barcelona-Castelldefels C-31 motorway, which connects with the Barcelona-Sitges C-32 motorway.

Car Hire

Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Atesa and Sol-Mar are represented at the airport, each having offices in Terminals 1 and 2.

Public Transport

Bus: There is an Aerobus service to Plaça de Catalunya, departing from in front of the terminals. Bus 105 departs from Terminals B and C, to El Prat; buses 106 and 46 also depart from Terminals B and C. Bus information is available (tel: 010 (in Spain); www.emt-amb.com) Taxi: Taxi ranks are located outside the terminals (journey time: 25-35 minutes).

Rail: RENFE's line R2 suburban train links the airport with the city center, Estació de Franςa (tel: 90 224 0202; www.renfe.es/cercanias/barcelona) and intermediate stops (journey time: 32 minutes).

Car Parking

There are public car parks at the airport with space for around 23,000 cars. Car parks are located directly in front of each terminal. Terminal A and C are directly connected to the car parks via air-bridges. VIP parking in a secure car park, with collection outside each of the terminals, is also available (tel: 93 297 1381).

Information and Help Desks

Tourist information desks (tel: 93 478 4704) are located in Terminals A and B; there is also a hotel information point in Terminal B. Airport information desks can be found throughout the airport (tel: 90 240 4704), at six locations in Terminals A and B.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: Banks, bureau de change and ATMs can be found in Terminals A and B. There is also a post office on the ground floor of Terminal B.
Eating and drinking: There are restaurants, cafeterias and bars in all terminals. Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available in Terminals A and B; there are also a range of other shops in these two terminals. These include a jewellers, bookshop, tobacconists, newsagents, music shop and shoe shop.
Luggage:
A left-luggage office is situated in the Terminal B Arrivals area. A lost and found office is situated in the Bloque Técnico building (tel: (902) 101 564).
Other facilities:
There is a pharmacy, a 24-hour medical service, tour operators and travel agents, and children’s play areas.

Conference and Business Facilities

There is a 2,600 sq m Business Center (tel: 93 375 8600; www.bcn-airmeetings.com) containing boardrooms, meeting rooms and a rest unit with bedrooms and gym facilities. Terminal B has dedicated meeting rooms, the 200 sq m (656 sq ft) divisible Catalunya Meeting Room, which can be hired (tel: 93 297 1101). Facilities include telephone, fax, Internet and audiovisual equipment. Six VIP lounges are available in Departures (after security) in all three terminals.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers

The airport has lifts, escalators and ramps. Reserved parking spaces are also available for disabled travelers in the airport car park. Disabled toilets are located throughout the airport and there are also adapted-telephones at wheelchair height in each terminal.
