Location

The airport is located 29km (18 miles) northwest of Moscow.

Airport News

There are plans to increase airport depvelopment with a third runway by 2030. A new toll motorway linking Moscow and St Petersburg is currently under construction, which will provide a high-speed route to the airport.

Transfer Between Terminals

Public buses, express buses and free airline shuttles are all available for transfer between Sheremetyevo's terminals (journey time: 15 minutes).

Driving Directions

The main road leading to the airport is Leningradskoe Hwy, which flows into the M10 motorway from Moscow.

Companies include Hertz and Sixt.

Public Transport

Bus: Regular express buses run 24 hours a day to Moscow from bus stops outside Terminal 1 and a bus station on the Arrivals level of Terminal F. Local bus 851 goes to metro Rechnoi Vokzal and bus 817 goes to metro Planernaya.

Coach: Coaches run between the airport and Moscow Central Air Terminal, which is located between Dinamo and Aeroport metro stations.

Taxi: Taxis to Moscow are available 24 hours a day from the Arrivals level of Terminal F and from outside Terminal 1; passengers should join the taxi queue for fixed-rate taxis rather than accepting offers.
Aeroexpress trains now connect directly from Sheremetyevo Airport to Belorussky Railway Station. A line links Moscow Savyolovsky Station with Lobnya Station, from where shuttles offer a transfer to the airport (journey time: 20 minutes).

Short-term parking facilities are available close to the terminals.

Information desks and touchscreen terminals are located in the main halls and provide flight information (tel: (495) 232 6565) and information about the airport and about transport to the city.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: The airport offers banking and bureau de change, and ATMs are available in Terminal F in both the Arrivals and Departures areas. Aerosot provides fax services, international telephones and photocopying. There are post offices in both terminals.
Eating and drinking:
There are restaurants and bars in both terminals.
Shopping:
Shops are available in both terminals and include duty-free in both Departures and Arrivals.
Luggage:
Trolleys can be hired in the Arrivals hall of Terminal F. A porter service is available. Left-luggage counters are located in Terminal F.
Other facilities: The airport has a hairdresser, pharmacy, medical office and baby care facilities. There are travel agencies in both terminals.

Conference and Business Facilities

The airport has a business center in Terminal F which can provide telephone, fax and conference facilities. The Novotel Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport (tel: (495) 626 5900; www.accorhotels.com) has nine meeting rooms and offers fax and copy services as well as Internet access.

Facilities for Disabled Travelers

Wheelchair transfer and special assistance is available between the aircraft and the terminal building on request; passengers requiring such services should inform their airline prior to travel.
