The airport is located 50km (31 miles) north of Oslo.

Airport News

The new Park Inn hotel opened at the airport in mid-2010. A second terminal is under construction, with completion expected in 2012.

Driving Directions

From central Oslo, take the E6 expressway, turning on to the airport's dedicated road at Jessheim; the airport is clearly signposted.

Car Hire

Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt have offices in the arrivals hall, close to the railway station entrance.

Public Transport

Bus: The SAS Airport Bus (Flybussen) (tel: 8150 0176; www.flybussen.no) runs between Oslo Airport Gardermoen and Oslo Central Station toward the Radisson Scandinavia Hotel (journey time: 40 minutes). There is also a night service to Oslo Bus Terminal. Regular coach services connect Gardermoen with other destinations in Norway. For regional bus routes, there is a bus station just south of the railway station, which is within walking distance. Taxi: Taxis are readily available from the terminal; wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Airport Taxis (tel: 2323 2323). There is a taxi information desk in the Arrivals hall and the taxi rank is located outside Arrivals.

Rail: There is an Airport Express Train (Flytoget) service (tel: 8150 0888; www.flytoget.no), which runs between the airport and Oslo (journey time: 20 minutes), stopping at Oslo Central and various subway stations. All inter-city and express trains on the Skien-Oslo-Lillehammer-Trondheim route also stop at Oslo Airport Gardermoen station. Trains are every 10 minutes during the week, and every 20 minutes on Saturdays.

Car Parking

There is a multi-story car park with 4,000 spaces and direct access to the terminal and an outdoor car park (P0) immediately adjacent. There is also a long-term outdoor ground level car park, divided into five areas (P1, P2, P3, P4 and P5), with free shuttle buses running regularly to/from the terminal building.

There is a staffed information desk in the Arrivals hall; for Passenger Services (tel: 9150 6400). Hotel reservation and tourist information services are also available here.

Airport Facilities

Money and communications: Nordea bank has ATMs and bureau de change in both the Arrivals and Departures halls (before and after security). Wireless Internet is available in all public areas of the terminal. Fax/photocopying is available at the information desk in the Arrivals hall.
Eating and drinking: Various restaurants, cafés, snack bars, fast-food outlets and bars are located throughout the airport.
Shopping: Duty-free shopping is available in the International Departures hall,and in International Arrivals; various other shops are located throughout the airport.
Luggage: There is a left-luggage and lost property office (tel: 64 813 477), located opposite the railway station. A porter service is available (tel: 64 810 444).
Other facilities: There is a travel agency in the Departures hall (before security).

Conference and Business Facilities

The nearby Radisson Blu Airport Hotel Oslo (tel: 6393 3000; www.radissonblu.com) has a conference center with telephones, computer facilities, data lines, Internet facilities, meeting rooms, video conferencing, secretarial services and catering. Meeting facilities are also available at the new Park Inn hotel (tel: 6702 4000; www.parkinn.com).

The terminal is adapted for passengers with disabilities, who are requested to contact Passenger Services (tel: 9150 6400) at least 24 hours in advance. Wheelchair-accessible taxis can be arranged through Airport Taxis (tel: 2323 2323) or at the taxi information desk in Arrivals.
