Location
Split Airport is located by the Adriatic coast, 6km (4 miles) from Trogir to the west and Kastela to the east and 25km (15.5 miles) from Split to the southeast.

Major renovations and enlargement of the airport's facilities are currently under way, with a much larger terminal building expected to be in operation by 2014.
Driving Directions
Driving to Split from the airport or vice versa is straightforward. Follow either the main road, D1, or the Adriatic coastal road, A1, and follow signs either to the airport or the city.
Car Hire
Car hire companies at the airport include Adex, Adriaplus/Europcar, Anterra/Hertz, Automatic Commerce, Dicar/Budget, Dignitas/Alamo-National, Sixt, Subrosa/Dollar-Thrifty and Uni Rent. Desks are located in the main concourse.
Public Transport
Bus: A shuttle bus from the airport to Split is organized by the Plesoprijevoz bus company (tel: (021) 203 119; www.plesoprijevoz.hr). Buses from the airport leave shortly after the arrival of incoming flights, while buses from Split to the airport leave 90 minutes before all scheduled flights. Local buses (bus 37 and bus 38) serve the airport every 20 minutes during the day. It is operated by Promet (tel: (021) 407 888; www.promet-split.hr). Taxi: Taxis (tel: (021) 895 237) are available outside the terminal building at all times during airport operating hours.
Ferry: Buses leave from the Harbour Office Terminal (Terminal luÄke kapetanije) just 100m (328ft) from the seaport and the main bus and train stations. Ferries operate between the port and Split itself, from where sea connections link with various Dalmatian islands.
Car Parking
The airport car park is located directly opposite the terminal building and provides around 500 car spaces. Parking for the first 15 minutes is free of charge.

An information counter is located in the terminal. Tourist information services are situated in the arrivals area.
Airport Facilities
Money and communications: There is a bank offering currency exchange services on the passenger terminal ground floor. There is also a post office in the terminal.
Eating and drinking: A coffee bar is located in the international passengers lounge, and there is a restaurant with lounge just outside the international area.
Shopping: A mini market is located on the terminal ground floor offering a wide choice of Croatian souvenirs, gifts, newspapers, tobacco and much more. Working hours of the shops are matched with airport working hours. There is also a duty-free shop at the airport, which sells some 6,500 different products, including alcohol, tobacco, perfumes, sweets, watches, sunglasses, leather goods, toys and jewelry.
Luggage: There are lost and found counters in the arrivals hall (tel: (0662) 858 0259 or 854 533 2247).
Other facilities: A bomb shelter and first aid room are located in the terminal's basement.
Conference and Business Facilities
There is a VIP/business lounge on the ground floor.
Facilities for Disabled Travelers
There are toilets and support facilities for disabled people at the airport. The car park has five spaces designated for disabled passengers.
