The airport is located inland, 6km (4 miles) southwest of Hurghada.

A new terminal complex is now in operation, with a capacity of 7.5 million passengers annually.

Driving Directions

It's a 20-minute drive from the airport to the city center. The airport is next to the main Ring Road. To get the airport, head south from the city on the Al-Nasr road and follow signs for the airport.

Car Hire

Car hire is available at the airport from Hertz, which has a desk in Arrivals. Local operators are also represented.

Public Transport

Bus: Minibuses go to Hurghada: they wait outside the airport and only leave once full (journey time: 20 minutes). Taxi: Regular taxis and tourist taxis (which charge double the fare) also operate from the airport. The taxi rank is outside Arrivals. It is advisable to agree a fare with the driver before departing.

Car Parking

The car park is located just outside the terminal. Short term spaces are closest, and long-term parking is a little further away.
